July 20, 2001 - New "Referral Program" available for disaster-related groups, nonprofits & NGOs

A creative new fundraising program (similar to the referral program developed in 2000 for the SIDS Alliance) is now available for all types of volunteer groups, nonprofit organizations and NGOs (especially disaster-related groups and organizations!)

Fedhealth’s "traditional" fundraiser (the Ultimate Fundraiser) was designed primarily for schools and youth groups to earn 50% profits on a product reduced 50% from list.

The new "referral" program helps groups raise funds without dealing with the "traditional" fundraising aspects of taking orders, gathering money and delivering products.

This simple program just requires groups help Fedhealth spread the word about the "IT’S A DISASTER!" book to businesses and agencies that could use this "preparedness tool" in bulk. Or groups can share the Fundraising Programs with local schools since PTOs and coordinators are always looking for new fundraisers!

Those businesses, agencies and schools (i.e. "referrals") can contact Fedhealth directly through the web site or by calling the toll-free numbers. Fedhealth will do ALL the work (including tracking the referrals) and will donate 10% of every referred bulk sale back to the referring agency.

For example, many county, state and provincial Emergency Management officials and their volunteer groups can now refer companies and schools directly to Fedhealth and, if any bulk sales result, Fedhealth will donate 10% of every sale back to that EMO or group to help finance their efforts. Or groups can use the referral "donation" as "matching funds" for local and federal grants.

Emergency Management agencies are always needing additional funds to assist their local Search and Rescue teams, Explorer groups, Community Emergency Response Teams (CERTs), Local Emergency Planning Committee’s (LEPCs) and other disaster-related groups that support EM’s local efforts. Fedhealth developed this new program with this in mind to help educate schools and communities about disaster-related issues while helping fund volunteer and nonprofit groups providing emergency services.

Fedhealth’s Tucson Corporate Sales office offers a customizable handout, and other tools and support, so interested groups should call 1-877-878-6824 for more information.
