June 18, 2003 - 3rd Edition release delayed a few months + more enhancements
Fedhealth has pushed the release of our 3rd Edition since some Emergency Managers wanted to bundle their custom printing needs with the initial print. Estimating availability by late-Sept so check back for updates or call 1-877-878-6824.
In addition to enhancements listed on March 24, 2003 news item, the 3rd Edition will also include …
-- Modified CDC web links about "radiation" in both NUCLEAR and TERRORISM topics.
-- Added TICKs to Basic First Aid section and modified a web link on SARS page to reflect Health Canada’s new site.
-- Will verify and update all U.S. State & Territory and Canadian Provincial & Territorial EMOs as of August 2003 so most current data will be included (i.e. will change Dept names, addresses, ph#s & URLs as needed).
-- Expanded Appendix A - Department of Homeland Security to include the District of Columbia Emergency Management Agency’s "Terrorist Threat Advisory System" with suggestions for Residents and Businesses. (Each color-code now has tips for families, companies and federal agencies – Appendix A now 9 pages)
-- Appendix B now briefly describes Citizen Corps / CERT / CERV Ontario to the general public.
3rd Edition now 240 numbered pages (256 pages total) - still have some blank pages for custom jobs – or can add more as needed! Keeping same low price so it does NOT impact School Fundraiser and programs designed for Volunteer groups.
